GT Stallions 50th Season

Established in 1972, the Gloucester Township Stallions organization has been a premiere destination for youth football and cheerleading. The completely volunteer run organization, started with a focus on establishing a local youth football program in Gloucester Township. The Stallions originally traveled throughout the state and over to Philadelphia to play. The Stallions quickly established themselves as a great place to play and a fearsome opponent.

The Stallions theme, Second to None, is reflected with their accomplishments on the field. They have won dozens of championships in their years of competition.Current Head Coaches Tom Smith and Mike Williams have won multiple championships throughout their careers. The Cheer teams have been equally successful, with multiple Cheer Competition wins every season.

Over the past 5 decades the Stallions have sent countless football players onto the High School, College, and Pro Levels. Notable alumni include:

Haason Reddick - currently with the Eagles

Corey Clement - currently with the Cowboys

Adonis Jennings - former Packer

Damiere Byrd - currently with the Bears

Danny Williams - KC Assistant to Head Coach

Devin Leary - Currently NC State starting QB

Donovan Leary - Illinois QB commit

The Stallions are proud to have many coaches and board members who played for the Stallions in their youth including: Jack Conway, Tom Smith, Jon Zarnosky, Matt Neborak, Todd Trout, Nate Giles. The Stallions even have families who have been with the organization for three generations in the Trouts, Smith's, and Conways.

Most importantly, the Stallions pride themselves in being Second to None in developing Gloucester Township's youth. The Stallions partner with USA Football and the National Council of Youth Sports to keep up to date with the latest on coaching fundamentals and youth initiatives. The Stallions also contribute beyond the fundamentals of the sports. The volunteer leaders and coaches focus on instilling leadership, sportsmanship, community, and commitment. The Stallions also contribute to the community through their Breast Cancer drive benefiting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and their Holiday Toy Drive for the Unforgotten Haven in Blackwood.

2022 is going to be a special season. The Stallions will be hosting special events leading up to the season, special camps over the summer, and an alumni day featuring previous players and coaches during a home Saturday during the season.
